To add to the savings and appeal for Tigard shoppers, this new hatchback earns high fuel economy ratings as well. What is the Honda Fit Fuel Economy?

Across the Honda Fit lineup, drivers will find a standard 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that generates up to 130 hp. The EX-L trim is the one exception, but it generates a comparable 128 hp. While the engines and output are similar, the transmission type is customizable. A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is the only option for the EX-L trim, but the LX, Sport, and EX trims give drivers more choices, including a 6-speed manual transmission and an available Continuously Variable Transmission.  Depending on the transmission you choose, it will impact the Honda Fit fuel economy. Check out the specs to find the right transmission for your needs:

  • 6-speed Manual Transmission: The LX, Sport, and EX trims come standard with this transmission and results in an EPA-estimated 29 mpg city and 36 mpg highway** for the Fit.
  • Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT): When the LX configuration is paired with the CVT transmission, the Fit earns an EPA-estimated 33 mpg city and 40 mpg highway**. The Sport, EX, and EX-L trims all get an EPA-estimated 31 mpg city and 36 mpg highway with this same transmission**.

What is the Honda Eco Assist™ System?

Adding to the fuel economy of the Honda Fit is the Honda Eco Assist™ System. The Eco Assist™ system is found standard on the Honda Fit, and is a fuel efficiency information system that monitors how your driving impacts the vehicle’s fuel economy. By tracking and relaying this information to the driver, Eco Assist™ allows drivers to make changes to their driving to maximize the efficiency of their vehicle. Honda Fit models equipped with the Continuously Variable Transmission come with an ECON Button as well, which automatically makes adjustments to improve gas mileage when switched on.
